Writers both old and new urge us to preserve for all time the authentic arabian, the uncontaminated source as a timeless value, possession of which lay an obligation on us.

Desert bred has the recognition of the Pure Source.
Only an accurate analysis of pedigree will yield the information whether a full blooded arabian belongs to this pure source or not, ie whether he does in fact trace back exclusively to desert bred ancestors or not.

Blue Star Arabians - horses without Muniqui blood.
Blue List Arabians - horses with Muniqui blood, and doubtful cases.

This category would not deny any other arabian its right to existence, nor does it imply that Blue Star horses are better than other horses.  The selection was not made on the basis of quality or beauty of the individual concerned, but solely on the basis of PURITY OF BLOOD. The number of Blue Star Arabians is very small - they are a kernel of fifty individuals at the centre of a Blue List of five hundred out of thirty five thousand purebred Arabians registered in the United States.

THE THREE STRAINS

KEHAILAN - Good Strong bone structure
SEGLAWI - Good but lighter bone structure
MUNIQUI - Indifferent, doubtful cases

It has been written and spoken that it is amazing how many times we visit studs, attend sales and shows at friendly meetings. We stand for hours assessing horses of every kind, and gaze on the finest half-bloods, admire race horses, seen hunters jumping, watched trotters and stepping-horses speeding along.  Our mind surfeited with the image of horses.

And then - at last - an Arab is led out. With head held high and fire in his eyes, the nostrils dilated, the pheasant-like tail carried in high arc, every muscle tense with power and energy, with clear tendons and bones of steel, seems to reject the earth, sot hat the hooves hardly touch the ground.  Light as a gazelle in every motion, but proud and dignified with true regal presence.  A noble entrancing sight!

Several times I have heard in such moment, this spontaneous heartfelt exclamation coming from the lips of the horsemen, whether owner or groom, or professor of the equestrian art;

There is only one horse in the world and that is the ARAB
